Frame the viewing: Ask the children if they have ever had an exciting time. Describe an exciting memory from your childhood, and explain to the class what made it so exciting. Then ask students to share their own memories.
Focus the viewing: Tell children they are going to watch a video segment from Thomas & Friends. Ask the group to listen for all the wonderful memories the trains have had on the Island of Sodor.
Follow-Up: Ask children to recall some of the moments the trains shared in the clip.
