        Trump Gives First Joint Address to Congress | PBS NewsHour

        President Donald Trump delivered his first speech to a joint session of Congress on February 28, 2017. Trump outlined his intent to repeal and replace Obamacare, condemned the recent shooting of an Indian man in Kansas and threats agains Jewish communities, and discussed his order to the Department of Homeland Security to better serve the American victims of crimes commited by immigrants. While Republicans applauded many of Trump's points with standing ovations, Democrats for the most part remained seated.
