        Tutankhamun's Hidden Treasures | Egypt's Treasure Guardians

Explore the contents of King Tutankhamun's tomb, the best preserved tomb ever discovered in Egypt. The tomb is kept in The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) Conservation Centre, where 150 scientists are working to preserve and restore artifacts that have never before been on display. Dr. Tarek Tawfik, the museum's director, shares some of these treasures: the king's sandals, remarkably well preserved model boats, and the mummified fetuses of the king's two children. These are just some of the artifacts that will be on display once GEM opens to the public.
