        Quality training programs for principals should be rigorous, extensive, graduated, and immersed in real performance at the school level. Principals must have a prior belief system that includes high expectations for all students. The ideal training program should include recruitment, skilled selection, a yearlong intensive internship, and ongoing coaching once the principal is appointed.
