        Clarke, W.B (fl.1820) (after). English. Medium: hand coloured engraving. Date: 19th Century. One of the 12 stone crosses erected by King Edward I between 1291 and 1294 in memory of his wife, Eleanor of Castile and marking the places where her body rested overnight when taken after her death from Lincoln to London; view imagines the cross at the time of its erection in the 13th century; engraved by H.Winkles; Provenance: Private Collection.
