        A gift dedicated to Charles II by Bartholomew Sharp, c.1681

        English School, (17th century). Medium: pen, ink and watercolour. Date: 17th Century. Bartholomew Sharp (c.1650-90) was an English buccaneer who stole a set of Spanish maps; the maps proved useful to the King, so Sharp was granted a full pardon for his piracy crimes; Provenance: Private Collection.
