L'Affaire Zola, portraits des temoins principaux; Colonel du Paty de Clam, Mr. Bertillon, Mathieu Dreyfus, Jacques-Ludovic Trarieux (1840-1904), Colonel Henry (1846-98) and expert Teysonnieres; in 1898, French writer Emile Zola (1840-1902) had a letter published in the newspaper L'Aurore accusing the government of anti-Semetism and the unlawful imprisonment of Alfred Dreyfus, a French-Jewish General Staff officer, sentenced to life in prison for espionage; Provenance: Private Collection / Giraudon.
