        Altarpiece of St John the Baptist

        Durandi, Jacques (d. c.1469); French. Medium: tempera on panel. Retable de Saint Jean Baptiste; came from the church at Luc�ram. Saint John the Baptist is flanked on his right by Saint Paul and Saint John the Evangelist and on his left by Saint Michael and Saint Barbara. Above them (L to R) Saint Peter, Saint Lucy, Christ with the symbols of the Passion, Saint Agatha and Saint Gratus.
