        French School, (19th century); French. Medium: coloured engraving. Date: 1814. Charles X (1757-1836) was known for most of his life as the Count of Artois before he reigned as King of France and of Navarre from 16 September 1824 until 2 August 1830. Louis XVIII (1755-1824), known as "the Desired" (le D�sir�), was a monarch of the House of Bourbon who ruled as King of France and Navarre from 1814 to 1824 except for a period in 1815 known as the Hundred Days.
