In Hortis Mediceis; celebrated group sculpture discovered in Rome in 1583 and displayed in gardens of Villa Medici; now in Uffizi in Florence; sculptor was either Scopas or Praxiteles; from a book illustrating the principal classical sculptures in Rome 'Segmenta Nobilium Signorum et Statuarum'; Provenance: Private Collection.
