        English School, (19th century). Medium: engraving. Date: 1821. King William III of England (1650-1702) Prince of Orange; statue was decorated with orange flowers and ribbons by Protestants on the Kings birthday and on the anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne; painted black by opponents, mainly Jacobites and Tories; statue stands in front of Trinity College, Dublin; Provenance: Private Collection.
