        English School, (19th century). Medium: engraving. Date: 1842. Rioting broke out in industrial cities across Britain after the House of Commons rejected the Chartist petition; called the 'plug plot' riot because many workers removed the boiler plugs from steam engines in order to stop production in the factories; Provenance: Private Collection.
