        English School, (20th century). Medium: lithograph. Date: 20th Century. Louis Bleriot (1872-36) French aviator; 'Inventor of the famous Aeroplane as used by several of the Aviators at the Doncaster Aerodrome'; he was the first person to fly over a large body of water in a heavier-than-air craft when he flew over the English Channel in 1909; he also invented the first working monoplane; Provenance: Private Collection.
