        Mr Wyatt's Foundry, published in The Illustrated London News, 11th July 1846

        Landells, Ebenezer (1808-60); British. Medium: engraving. Date: 1846. This is the foundry of Victorian painter and sculptor Matthew Cotes Wyatt (1777-1862) on the Harrow Road, London; The sculpture in progress is the monumental bronze of the Duke of Wellington (1769-1852) that Wyatt created for the top of the Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner; The statue was mainly created using bronze derived from French cannon captured at the Battle of Waterloo and melted down at Wyatt's foundry; Provenance: Private Collection.
