        English School, (19th century). Medium: engraving. Date: 1877. Beginning on 1 January the "Proclamation Durbar" was held to designate the coronation and proclaim Queen Victoria as Empress of India; It was attended by 1st Earl of Lytton (1831-1891), then Viceroy of India; The word 'durbar' is a Mughal word meaning court; Provenance: Private Collection.
