'Le Gamin de Paris aux Tuileries'; guttersnipe boy depicted sinking joyfully into the King's throne in the Tuileries Palace after being taken over by the people of Paris during the Revolution of 1848; cartoon appeared one week after the abdication and flight of Louis-Philippe I (1773-1850) King of the French (1830-48); Provenance: Private Collection.
