Mitchelstown Castle, in County Cork, Ireland; The castle was built in 1823 by George, 3rd Earl of Kingston who demolished the Palladian House that had previously stood on the same site; The building was designed by James (1779-1877) and George Richard Pain (1793-1838) and was the largest neo-Gothic house in Ireland; The castle was demolished in the 1920s; Provenance: Private Collection.
