        English School, (16th century). Medium: woodcut. Date: 1563. John Bradford (1510-55) was a prebendary of St. Paul's who was burned at the stake during the Protestant persecutions under Mary I; he is remembered for his utterance 'There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford'; John Foxe (1516-87); Provenance: Private Collection.
