        The North Front of the Manor House at Chelsea built by King Henry VIII

        English School, (16th century) (after). Medium: engraving. Date: 1810. King Henry VIII (1491-1547) moved to Chelsea in 1510; He began building his New Manor House, also known as Chelsea Palace in the 1540s about where 19-26 Cheyne Walk is today, intending the building as a wedding present for Catherine Parr (1512-1548); The house was demolished in 1755; Provenance: Private Collection.
