Gilnockie Tower, also known as Hollows Tower, is a 16th-century tower house near Canonbie, in Dumfries and Galloway; The tower was built by Johnnie Armstrong (d.1530), the notorious Border reiver who was hanged along with 36 of his men by King James V; Provenance: Private Collection.
