        Cliveden House near Maidenhead Bridge in the County of Bucks, 1753

        Donowell, John (fl.1753-86). English. Medium: engraving. Date: 1753. Full inscription reads, 'Cliefden House near Maiden-head Bridge in the County of Bucks, lately a Palace of His Royal Highness Frederick, late Prince of Wales'. Frederick, Prince of Wales (1707-51) leased the house from 1737-51. Image shows the original house built in 1666, which was destroyed by fire in 1795. Provenance: Private Collection.
