        English School, (19th century). Medium: engraving. James Francis Edward Stuart, also known as the Old Pretender and the Chevalier de St. George (1688-1766) was the son of the deposed James II of England. In this image he is seen arriving in Scotland from France in December 1715 during the Jacobite uprisings. Provenance: Private Collection.
