        Abbey of Holy Cross, c.1841

        Bartlett, William Henry (1809-54) (after). English. Medium: engraving. The Holy Cross Abbey is an early 15th century Cistercian monastery in Holycross near Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland, situated on the River Suir. The Abbey fell into ruin in the 17th century after the Cromwellian war but underwent restoration in the 1969. Provenance: Private Collection.
