        Travelling in the South and West of Ireland in 1845

        English School, (19th century). Medium: engraving. Public transport in the south and west of Ireland was revolutionised at the beginning of the C19th by an Italin immigrant named Charles Bianconi who set up a network of coaching routes from a hub in County Tipperary, named the Bianconi Coach Service for Private Passengers. This is an example of one of his coaches. Provenance: Private Collection.
