        English School, (18th century). Medium: letterpress. Date: 1739. Richard "Dick" Turpin (c.1705?1739) was an English highwayman whose exploits were romanticised following his execution in York for horse theft. Richard Bayes was the landlord of the Green Man pub in Leytonstone who helped in the apprehending and capture of Turpin for horse theft. Provenance: Private Collection.
