        Polish Folk Dance

German School, (19th century). Medium: engraving. Date: 19th Century. Print entitled Polnischer Tanz. An interesting feature of this print is the musician on the right who appears to be playing bagpipes made from the body and head of a goat. Eastern European bagpipes were often made from goat's skin, but with a carved goat's head. Provenance: Private Collection. Photographic rights held by The Bridgeman Art Library.
