        The Astronomical Clock in Strasbourg Cathedral, 1621

        Brun, Isaac (1596- c.1657). Medium: letterpress and engraving. Date: 1621. The second astronomical clock to have stood in the south transept of Strasbourg Cathedral, completed in 1574. It was built by mathematicians Christian Herlin and Conrad Dasypodius (1532?1600) and Swiss clockmakers Isaac (1544-1620) and Josia (1552-1575) Habrecht. Engraved title and text by Johannes Fischart.
