Cory: Oh boy, a Ferris wheel! I wanna ride!

Cory’s Mom: Cory… you know the rule… no ride over 100 feet tall!  It’s just too scary!

Cory: Oh, c’mon Mom!

Cory’s Mom: Sweetie, just ride the bumper cars again!

Cory: Nooooooo…

Mom:  Ohh… I smell cotton candy!  Be right back…don’t move Cory!

Cory:  I really want to ride that big Ferris Wheel… but it’s too tall!

Cory’s Shadow: I’m not so sure about, Cory…

Cory: Who said that?

Shadow: Uh, down here!

Shadow: I’m your shadow, and I can help you.

Cory: How?

Shadow:  How tall are you, Cory?

Cory: Five feet…why?

Shadow: Well, I’m eight feet long right now. And do you see that Ferris wheel’s shadow?

Cory: Yeah.

Shadow: Well, we shadows stay in touch. That one? It’s a hundred-sixty feet long.

Cory: One hundred-sixty feet? My mom will never let me ride that Ferris wheel!

Shadow: Cory, the shadow is a hundred and sixty feet – not the Ferris wheel.

Cory:  Okay… so… whatever…

Shadow: If you use that number along with your height and my length – well, your mom will let you ride the Ferris wheel…

Cory:  Wait!  How am I gonna do that?

Mom:  Cory…who were you talking to?
