Abby: Hey girls and boys, Abby Brown here. Have you ever stopped to think about how hard a farmer has to work to produce all the food that we eat? We found an awesome group of kids who wanted to thank farmers for all they do with a thank you letter and a picture.

Abby: Here is what some of the kids wrote!

Dear farmers, thank you for feeding the world. Without you, what would we do? Since I am a farmer, I know what problems you run into, how much determination, strength and patience it takes to pump yourself through the long, hard day.

I really appreciate all of the work you guys do. You guys deserve a big party when you're done with the harvest because you did it! You finished for now. Thank you again for everything.

Farmers work many hours taking care of their crops and animals. They work in all kinds of weather every day of the year.

Abby: Our cameras were there when the farmers got to open their letters. They thought the notes were great!

Dear farmers, thank you for supplying the food and clothing we need to survive. Your determination and hard work have helped many people survive through the freezing winters and blistering summers.

Another reason I love farmers is they provide jobs for us, like my dad would not have a job if farmers didn't need people to build them tractors, combines and other things.  And it says, thank you, on there.

Abby: Super job, kids! Next time you meet a farmer, be sure to say thank you for all their hard work!
