Kids voices: [in unison] Go outside and play.

[Music]

Abby: These amazing athletes have raised a whole bunch of money for a really important cause, the American Heart Association. This is Jump Rope for Heart, and today is the day we get to play. Are you guys ready?

Kids voices: [in unison] Yeah!

Abby: Here we go!

[Music]

Abby: What is Jump Rope for Heart?

It's raising money for kids who have heart disease.

Abby: Do you have a job?

No.

Abby: Then how do you raise money for kids with heart diseases?

Well, what I did was, I went around to family and friends and asked if they could donate.

Abby: How does this day fit into the program?

It helps you get fit.

Abby: So, what are we doing?

Jump roping.

I like doing just partner jumping. It's probably my favorite because it's fun, and you get to talk to your friends, too.

Abby: Do you have a job?

Yeah, I do.

Abby: What's your job?

I'm a soccer referee.

Abby: Do you get paid for that job?

I do.

Abby: So, are you donating some of your money today?

Yeah, I am.

Abby: That's very kind of you. What does it feel like to be able to make money and then to be able to donate it?

It feels good. Really good.
