Kids [in unison]: Read a good book!

[music]

Today we went to the library to learn about theatre.

The books that we read were about masks.

Cat. Look, it's a cat!

To make a mask you need paper, markers and imagination.

I'm making a sad face and I'm doing droopy eyebrows.

I'm drawing a fish and I'm working on the scales.

Masks can help actors and actresses to convey emotions.

Masks can also help people transform into animals or creatures.

I made a cat and I drew its nose and cut out its mouth and whiskers and I put rubber bands on the back to hold it on my head.

I made a happy mask and I feel happy when I put it on because it's a happy lady. So I started out by drawing a big mouth and I did high eyebrows because that's what you look like when you're happy.

I made a bird and the bird has a beak that opens up. Then I made a nest for the bird because the bird needs to have a home.

I had so much fun!
